Veterinary orthopedic surgical procedures are typically more labor-intensive than soft-tissue procedures. This translates into a longer recovery time for the patient as compared to soft-tissue surgery recovery.
Prior to your pet’s surgical procedure, you will have a consultation with one of our veterinarians on staff. They will explain the recommended treatment and answer your questions about the upcoming surgery.
On the day of your pet’s surgical procedure, they will receive a physical exam with our orthopedic surgeon. During the physical examination with Dr. Christopher Dillon, our orthopedic veterinarian, he will determine the best course of treatment. After the surgical procedure, your pet will go home with detailed instructions including at-home care, medications, and exercise routines.
